NOT just a phone anymore

Cellphones are becoming essential part of human life nowadays. This fact is so obvious. Wherever I go, I can surely find someone using their phones – on the jeepneys, along the streets, in the malls, in the campus – literally everywhere!
While it's true that cellphones have tremendous benefits in terms of communications, they are now beyond their basic purpose and bombarded with loads of other features. I can still remember the first mobile phone I ever had – the ancient and not so slim Nokia 5610, with antenna, of course. It is so different with the flashy phones we can see today.

Personally, I think cellphones are of great importance. Obviously, it makes life easier, somehow changing how people nowadays live their lives.
I am not really into cellphone, at least not the texting part. Lots of youths nowadays can be considered as text addicts, with those jejemons invading our country and all. I am not that kind of person who buys a new phone every now and then.
But still, though not being a text addict, I bring my cellphone to everywhere I go. It somehow gives me a feeling of security, knowing that my family and friends are just a text away in case of emergency.
But the thing that I love the most with cellphones today are their built-in cameras! Maybe, this what makes me inseparable with my beloved cellphone. Cam-whoring is one of the things my friends and I love doing the most. My phone gives me the convenience of uploading the pictures I've taken using my phone straight to tumblr, twitter and other sites. So, there goes the other thing that I so love about my phone – I can surf the net anywhere, anytime. I can easily check my friends' accounts, upload photos, post blogs, read some articles and stuffs.

I know my phone is not as techy and flashy as any other latest models of phone the market is offering now. I actually always find myself surfing the net and looking for a perfect phone for me. But nonetheless, I still love the phone I have right now, though I know that there are a lot of better phones out there. In a way, I'm inseparable with it and I'm so lovin' the fact that it is not just entirely a phone anymore!
